Frequently asked questions
Short answers for engineers and buyers. Each answer links to the page with the full ratings.
Which VORLINKO connectors carry the highest current?
-
DL28-2P, DL28-3P, DL28-4P and DL28-5P are rated 50 A per contact in an M28 body, for inverters, energy storage and power distribution.
What is the difference between IP68 and IPX9K?
-
IP68 is an immersion test under conditions stated by the manufacturer. IPX9K is a test with close-range jets of hot water at high pressure. They test different things, so equipment that is both submerged and pressure-washed needs a connector with both ratings.
Which connectors are rated both IP68 and IPX9K?
-
12 models in the LP20, BD24, LP24 data connector and LP24 fibre optic connector series are rated IP68 and IPX9K when mated. The DL28 series is rated IP68.
Is there a sealed Ethernet connector?
-
Yes. LP24-RJ45 is an M24 connector with an RJ45 interface, rated IP68 and IPX9K when mated.
Which termination methods are available?
-
It depends on the series. LP20: soldering; BD24: screwing; DL28: screwing, crimping, soldering; LP24 data connector: crimping, soldering; LP24 fibre optic connector: soldering. Each model page lists the termination for that model.
What operating temperature range do the connectors cover?
-
Models with published ratings cover -40 °C to +85 °C. The lower limit differs by model and housing material, so check the model page.
How many mating cycles are the connectors rated for?
-
From 500 to 2,000 mating cycles, depending on the model.
Where are the ratings for EP23, MP23 and DL24?
-
These series are part of the range, but their ratings are not published yet. They will appear on the product pages and in the selector once engineering approves the datasheets. You can ask for details through a quote request.
How do I get CAD files or a sample?
-
Datasheets, 2D and 3D CAD and STEP files are listed on each model page. To ask for a file that is not posted yet, or for a sample, use the support form and name the model.
